Pro-grade stats for amateur football, from cameras alone.
Cameras around a local pitch, and after the match every player gets their stats and clips on their phone. No wearables, no setup.
This research prototype does the hard part:
- Detect and track every player and the ball.
- Assign teams from shirt colours.
- Calibrate the pitch from its lines, then rebuild the game in 2D.
- Compute the stats: distance covered, top speed, positions over time.
